It hasn’t even been a week since two undisputed champions met in the squared circle. But guess what? Canelo Alvarez has received a menacing message already. On 30 September, Jermell Charlo took on Canleo Alvarez for all his titles. At this point, everyone knows what happened next. Canelo dominated Jermell and defended his titles for the third time in a row. However, now Jermell’s brother, Jermall Charlo, has some choice words for ‘Cinnamon’.

Originally, Jermall was supposed to face Canelo in the ring but had to bail for personal reasons. So, he trusted the task of putting an end to Canelo’s dominance in the hands of Jermell. However, Jermell could not accomplish the task, forcing Jermall to send a warning to Canelo. While Jermall was live on Instagram recently, he decided to address Canelo. But the question remains – What was Jermall’s message to Canelo?

Jermall Charlo sends a stern message to Canelo Alvarez

While spending time with his family, Jermall went live on Instagram. During the live session, Jermall was interacting with his fans, answering questions and whatnot. Out of nowhere, Jermall said, “Canelo, what’s up n****.” No one was expecting Jermell to talk about Canelo, but no one could have guessed what he said next. He had a vital message for Canelo! “I will see you soon,” said Jermall during the Instagram live.

The message can’t be any clearer; it’s definitely a challenge. Some people would claim Jermall is obligated to challenge Canelo. But he could also be after the huge money bag that comes along with fighting Canelo Alvarez. It’s also worth mentioning that there have not been any updates regarding the challenge from Canelo’s corner. However, it shouldn’t be a surprise if Canelo accepts the challenge.

Eddie Hearn on Jermall vs. Canelo

Eddi Hearn, a renowned and highly respected boxing promoter, has been following the Jermell vs. Canelo fight. Previously, he condemned Jermell for his lackluster performance during the showdown. He even eliminated Jermell’s chances of fighting Terence Crawford in the future because of his performance. However, he also spoke about Jermell’s brother facing Canelo.

During an interview with his company’s YouTube channel, Hearn expressed his opinion on Jermall possibly facing Canelo. Hearn claimed PBC, the promoter for the Charlo-Canelo fight, thought after Jermell fights Canelo, his brother Jermall could do the same. But after Jermell’s performance, that’s out of the window as well.

While nothing is set in stone, the challenge from Jermall can prove to be a revenge arc. But only time will tell what happens next. If Hearn’s claim is any evidence, chances of a showdown between Jermall and Canelo are slim. What’s your take on the situation? Should Canelo fight the brother as well?
