That is precisely what went down between Bernard Hopkins and Bill Haney, Devin Haney‘s father. Over the weekend, Vergil Ortiz Jr fought and defeated Fredrick Lawson in the fighting capital of the world, Las Vegas.

Post the fight, Bill Haney went to Hopkins and the two were engaging in a hostile back and forth. However, Hopkins started to move back and walk away but Haney continued to follow him. This frustrated Hopkins to the extent that he shoved him and caused havoc. Although the situation did not escalate, the fans took notice and made their reactions evident.

The cause of their tussle is still not known. However, it appears Haney was defending himself as he said, “For all the dads in the world. You’re not gonna be bullied by Bernard Hopkins or anybody.” Here is how the fans reacted to the incident:

Bill Haney tells Gervonta Davis to stop “hiding”

Bill Haney remains an integral part of the son’s life. In addition, he does not shy away from speaking on behalf of his son. Recently, in an interview, he demanded that Gervonta Davis fight his son and agree on the purse split. “Hiding behind the Twitter and hiding behind the other s**t, those days are over with man.” He further urges the undefeated Baltimore fighter to sign the agreement. He added, “How you gon’ be the face and you brag about the money you charge to people and it’s a fight that is a mismatch”
