Did Floyd Mayweather Jr. go from being the richest boxer to the unluckiest? Seems like it! Not that long ago, his former pupil Gervonta Davis accused the five-division champion of being stuck in Dubai for unpaid dues. This was something even controversial boxing matchmaker Rick Glaser had confirmed. Even though Mayweather partly debunked this accusation, he has now found himself in the middle of another drama. What’s that?

Well, as it turns out, he might not be part of his NASCAR team, TMT Racing, which, of course, Glaser didn’t fail to highlight. But wait, let’s run it from the top! Mayweather’s TMT Racing has entered into a partnership with U.S. Marine Corps veteran Mercedes Elias, first-grade school teacher Rebecca Auchmoody, and co-CEO of AmeriVet Securities Michael Naidrich to form a new NASCAR team, AmeriVet. But here’s the kicker!

According to an X post from FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass, Floyd Mayweather, co-owner of TMT Racing, isn’t involved with the team any longer. Instead, co-owner William Auchmoody will take charge of the team on behalf of the company. Further confirming the update, a report from MSN revealed that Floyd Mayweather is no longer listed as part of the ownership group.

The update comes ahead of the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series points race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway. On top of that, the team’s co-owner Rebecca Auchmoody said, “We are incredibly excited to be back in the NASCAR Cup Series and could not have asked for a better event than the Coca-Cola 600 to mark our team’s rebrand.” That being said, the rebrand includes a new driver in the seat, but who might that be?

Floyd Mayweather out, Ty Dillon in!

Team AmeriVet has officially announced the recruitment of Ty Dillon as their new driver for the No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro, slated to compete in the upcoming race this Sunday. Notably, AmeriVet Securities, the co-owner of the team, stands as a distinguished service-disabled veteran-owned broker-dealer. 

Meanwhile, this isn’t Dillon’s first appearance in the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series. In fact, it will be his seventh appearance in the race, following his best finish back in 2022 at 13th. The 32-year-old has about two years of experience piloting the Next Gen car, yet he was shown the door by Spire Motorsports at the conclusion of the 2023 season. These days, Dillon’s all about tearing up the track in the NASCAR Truck Series for Rackley W.A.R. He’s holding down a solid tenth place in the regular season standings.

In a nutshell, things don’t seem to be going right for the billionaire boxing legend, yet there hasn’t been an official statement from Floyd Mayweather on the latest development.
