The sensational ‘Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder was in search for a perfect opponent after his trilogy fight against Tyson Fury. And now he is all set to face ‘The Nordic Nightmare’ Robert Helenius for a 12-round tango. Helenius is a two-time European title holder with an impressive boxing record. Meanwhile, there has also been much speculation about Helenius’ personal life and family.

On August 2022, it was announced that Wilder will return to the ring after a yearlong hiatus. It was also revealed that he will face Helenius at the Barclays Center in New York City on October 15, 2022.

Wilder also mentioned the love and respect that he received from the people in his hometown of Tuscaloosa motivated him to make a return. And also the fact that he was honored with a statue. He further added, “Here I am once again, looking forward to returning to the ring. I am looking forward to coming to Barclays Center. A place where I have had my most devastating knockouts. And a place I consider my second home.”

Helenius, on the other hand, will enter the bout with a stellar boxing record of 31-3-0. He was last seen in the ring against Adam Kownacki on October 2021, for their rematch. He went on to win the bout by a TKO.

Robert Helenius has been fairly secretive about his personal life. But his social media accounts do give an insight into his family.

A majority of Helenius’ posts revolve around boxing. However, he does have a few photographs with his wife. Helenius is married to Sandra Helenius. She has been a regular and ecstatic presence at his fights.

Another picture he posted suggests that they might have a child together. However, this is yet to be confirmed.
