Jarrell Miller: His nationality and ethnicity

‘Big Baby’ Miller was born to a Caribbean mother and a Latin American father on 15th July 1988 in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, the American heavyweight traveled quite a lot, having lived in the US, Canada, and Belize. However, in a recent interview, ‘Big Baby’ revealed his grandfather from his mother’s side was Irish.

He even suggested his father was of Dominican descent. “My grandfather on my mother’s side is Irish, a white guy! An Irish dude, he was a truck driver in Belize as well. My father is Haitian with Dominican descent as well,” Miller told Boxing Social. It’s worth mentioning that Miller moved from Brooklyn after two years in the city to Belize in Central America, where he lived for five years with other family members.

The undefeated Miller recalled the time he was going through some turbulence in his relationships and visited a family court in a cab. “The driver said, ‘Can I play something for you?’ And I was energy down – depressed, and he started playing the Qur’an. My eyes started tearing. I was balling, crying,” said Miller.
