Logan Paul and controversy are inseparable. However, the Maverick has been able to stave off controversy thanks to his career as a WWE star, a podcaster, and an entrepreneur. The WWE star, who’s soon to become a dad, is now back in the spotlight after a four-year-old clip resurfaced online. While the internet is buzzing with criticism aimed at Logan, his brother Jake Paul has a different take. But what’s the clip actually about?

Well, if you listen to some people online, they allege Logan Paul pushed his dog named Broley off a speeding boat for some clout. However, during an interview with TMZ Sports on Friday just after the entire hullabaloo began, Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul defended his brother while calling the whole thing fake and slander.

Jake Paul thinks people need to worry about themselves

Speaking to Paul ahead of his mega-fight against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, a reporter probed him about his thoughts on the video and about the online hate Logan is receiving at the moment. ‘El Gallo’ quickly responded, stating, “It’s just the nature of the internet and people hating on my brother all the time.”

Jake Paul mentioned that his brother seems to be caught up in a new drama every week, adding that he has no idea who these people are attacking him. But reminded everyone that his brother had already “cleared the air” about the same allegations a long time ago. He further advised netizens to move on.

“People just need to worry about their own lives and move on and stop trying to find some dumb fake s**t that someone did,” Paul said. Interestingly, Logan Paul did clarify the situation when the video originally started making the rounds on the internet.

Logan Paul highlights self-induced, independent jump

Since the outrage against him took over the internet, especially on X, the WWE star has shared a screen grab of his statement from 2020 alongside the original full video. In a post captioned, “I would NEVER” earlier today, Paul’s prior statement read, “We would NEVER, EVER, EVER, push Broley off the boat.”

In his statement, Paul claimed that the hand that was behind his dog, as seen in the clip, was petting the dog and not pushing when the dog decided to jump on its own. “Watch his body language and you can very evidently see a self-induced, independent jump from the little mut,” he added. Logan Paul even shared a slow-motion clip of the incident on X later, which seems to show Broley leaping into the water on its own.

It appears Jake Paul is sticking to his brother’s side for this one, as he speculates people are trying to smear Logan’s name with false allegations. However, the big question is, what do you think about the video? Do you think the dog was pushed?
