Jake Paul is set to enter the ring for the tenth time in his professional boxing career! ‘The Problem Child’ Paul will fight Ryan Bourland, a former Golden Gloves champion. However, not much is known about this unknown fighter. Not long ago, Dillon Danis tried to mock Paul by claiming Bourland was an Uber driver, but that turned out to be false.

So, it begs the question, what does Bourland really do? Despite Dillon’s deception, an attempt to hold onto the little relevancy he is left with, it recently came out that Bourland works at an oil rig. Far from the story, Dillon tried to drum up through his campaign against the Pauls. Here’s everything one needs to know about Ryan Bourland.

Ryan Bourland compares boxing to working on an oil rig

According to a February 12 report from The Sun, Bourland switched up his profession back in 2018. Speaking to The Sun about his boxing career, Bourland revealed, “Boxing is not easy. Taking punches isn’t the most fun thing to do, and I’ve been doing it for a long time, but I’m not making that much money. I haven’t had health insurance for a while.”

When asked about his job at the oil rig, Bourland shed light on how he landed that job. “It’s dangerous and hard work, but boxing is dangerous and is really hard work. After they saw my resume, I got a couple of calls, and they told me, ‘You are exactly what we are looking for,” said Bourland. He also revealed that his father wasn’t completely on board with the idea.

“So, I went out and bought a bunch of thermals and stuff like that, so, hopefully, I will be prepared,” said Bourland. During the interview, he also revealed that he was offered a title fight in Las Vegas and could have made $10,000. However, Bourland claimed, “By the time I pay my team and train for two months, it’s not that much.” That aside, here’s what Bourland said about fighting Paul.

Bourland claims Jake Paul has been busy chasing likes

After the news broke about the fight between Paul and Bourland, the latter had a lot to say in his statement. “Jake Paul steps into the ring with his social media clout, but let’s not mistake followers for experience or skill,” said Bourland. Despite being the heavy underdog going into the fight, Bourland is confident in his skills.

“While he’s been busy chasing likes, I’ve been honing my craft for years, stepping into the ring and beating real boxers. On Saturday, March 2, I will shock the world and put an end to Jake Paul’s boxing career,” said Bourland. The fight is scheduled to unfold at Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in the co-main event with Amanda Serrano.
