Jake Paul is closing in on his next fight, set for June 28th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, where he’ll face former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. But it seems ‘The Problem Child’ is already looking beyond that bout—with talks reportedly underway for a future showdown against current WBC cruiserweight champion Badou Jack.
Paul is riding high after his unanimous decision win over legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson last November. Since then, the Cleveland native has been ambitious in calling out some of boxing’s biggest names, including undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez and WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis. However, neither of those fights materialized. Canelo opted to work with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh instead, while Davis nearly lost his bout against Lamont Roach Jr., throwing cold water on a potential matchup. Still, Paul remains focused on his ultimate goal—becoming a world champion—and Badou Jack might be his best shot yet.
In a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, Paul made his interest in the fight crystal clear. “I’m super interested. I had Nakisa [Bidarian] contact his team behind the scenes, so those discussions are happening,” Paul said. When asked if he believed he could beat Jack, he didn’t hesitate. “For sure.”

Jack, now 41, is fresh off a majority decision win over Norair Mikaeljan earlier this month and is currently riding a seven-fight win streak. Despite Jack’s momentum, Paul’s strength and conditioning coach, Larry Wade, believes the advantage lies with Paul. “I’ve said this answer before, and I’ll continue to say it. ‘I’ve been with Badou Jack for seven years,” Wade told The Mayweather Channel.

“We got multiple world titles together. He’s moved on, he’s living in Dubai, doing his thing. He’s still a good friend of mine. I still love him, but I’m with Jake Paul.’” However, the question is, will Jack consider fighting Jake Paul?
