Jake Paul recently found himself embroiled in trouble as a fight nearly broke out between his employee Derek Sullivan and UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley. Not that long ago, the UFC headliner announced his business partnership with Paul to sell a range of men’s personal care products under the brand name ‘W’. 

However, this new collaboration seems to have started with a heated altercation. The same has prompted ‘The Problem Child’ to hop on social media to apologize to his new business partner and co-owner of ‘W’. But the question is, what really happened, and did O’Malley really assault Jake’s employee? Let’s find out!

Sean O’Malley branded lucky, Jake Paul-soft!

For those unaware, Sullivan has been Paul’s employee for the longest time, and at one point, had also challenged veteran UFC legend Nate Diaz for a fight. Regardless, Sullivan shared a clip of the incident in question on Instagram hours ago, with the caption reading, “Sean lucky I was being held back. Jake soft af for that”. Meanwhile, in the clip, Paul can be seen holding back Sullivan as the latter keeps trying to get to Malley.

Sullivan can also be heard saying, “Get the gloves” wanting to fight O’Malley right then and there! However, realizing Paul is not about to let go of him, right before the clip ended, Sullivan said, “Touch me again, I will beat your f**king a**, bro”, suggesting the altercation had started after O’Malley initially assaulted him or at the very least, touched him. Moments later, Jake Paul hopped on his Instagram story, to write, “Sorry @sugasean” while attaching the clip Sullivan shared.

It’s currently unclear what started the altercation between the duo, but it’s safe to say that it wouldn’t have ended well for Jake’s employee had Paul done as asked. Besides being the bantamweight champion, O’Malley is currently ranked as the 6th pound-for-pound champion by the UFC. In the meantime, Sullivan shared another clip, this time with O’Malley holding him in a choke, asking whether he would post a clip. What clip? The answer was in the caption of the post: “I ROCKED Sean O’Malley and now they won’t let me post the clip..”, Sullivan wrote. Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time Sullivan has gotten involved in a fight.

Derek Sullivan vs. Steiny: On the streets

Back in October last year, Steiny from the Nelk Boys was hosting a podcast featuring Jake Paul, when Sullivan crashed the show asking for Steiny to fight him right then and there. The duo had been beefing on social media previously with some talks of even $500,000 reward money, but no one would have guessed the fight would transpire on the streets.

Regardless, after some banter between the people present, Steiny agreed for the fight as they took things outside of the Full Send Podcast studio. As the fight began, both fighters, clad in boxing gloves, exchanged powerful blows. However, Steiny seems to have gotten the better of Sullivan by some margin. At least, that’s what the fans said when the clip of the fight started making the rounds on the internet.

Having said that, Derek Sullivan has always been prone to altercations, but in the Sean O’Malley situation, the entire story isn’t out yet. Only time will tell whether it dies down or something bigger happens. What do you think—who is at fault here?
