YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is done playing games. ‘The Problem Child’ has finally broken the silence about his next fight. The 27-year-old recently took the internet by storm when he hinted at a boxing match against his WWE star brother Logan Paul. Both brothers took to social media to tease an event on March 27, but it turned out to be a reality TV show on HBO Max.

ESPN later confirmed the nature of the announcement from the Paul brothers, which Jake described as being the “moment you’ve waited a decade for”. Further updates on the event revealed that the series will feature archival and previously unseen footage of the Paul brothers, and will involve eight episodes.

Regardless, now it appears ‘El Gallo’ is talking about an actual boxing match. Recently, the Cleveland native hopped on his Instagram story to claim, “Actual fight announcement soon.” It’s currently unclear who the younger Paul brother would fight, but fans are eager to see him against fellow YouTube star KSI and boxer Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul is coming off a unanimous decision win over legendary heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in November last year. Their fight, a lackluster affair at best, attracted controversy and sparked allegations after Tyson gassed out following the first round due to his advanced age. However, it managed to create history in the boxing world by becoming the most-watched boxing match.

Nonetheless, as everyone speculates about Paul’s next opponent, he has received a challenge from an unlikely source.

Claressa Shields says she would beat Jake Paul

Claressa Shields is confident she could defeat Jake Paul in a boxing match. The two-time Olympic gold medalist and undisputed world champion dismissed any chance of Paul knocking her out, stating, “How the f**k is he going to knock me out if he can’t land no punch? He is an amateur.”

Speaking on The Pacman Jones Show, Shields explained that she spars with men regularly, adding, “The men I spar against will whoop Jake Paul’s a**. So [there] ain’t no doubt in my mind what I would do to that amateur.” While a fight between Shields and Paul is still hypothetical, Paul’s unconventional choice of opponents makes it entirely plausible that he could accept Shields’ challenge.

That said, with Jake Paul’s next opponent still uncertain, it will be interesting to see who he chooses after facing Mike Tyson. Who do you think he’ll fight next?
