Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, survived an assassination attempt on July 13th while addressing a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania. The perpetrator, Thomas Mathew Crooks, fired eight rounds at Trump, with one piercing Trump’s upper right ear. Ten days after the harrowing incident, Jake Paul and Logan Paul have started placing bids on the hat Trump was wearing at the time.

Jake Paul has previously shown his support for the 45th President on social media while condemning the lapse in security measures, which allowed the incident to unfold. However, while appearing in Logan’s popular ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, the brothers seemingly settled on paying $12 million together for the red ‘MAGA’ hat.

Logan Paul and Jake Paul will go halfsies

Discussing his plans during his visit to Nashville, ‘The Problem Child’ disclosed his itinerary, which includes meetings with Donald Trump, attending the Bitcoin conference, and linking up with WhistlinDiesel. However, Paul’s plan to meet Trump caught Logan’s attention as he said, “$2 million for the hat he was wearing for the attempted assassination.”

In addition, Logan agreed to give his complete “endorsement”, even though Trump might not need it because of public sympathy after the assassination attempt. Hearing this, Jake presented his own bid for the hat, claiming he would pay $3 million for it. This ignited a bidding war between the two, with each continuously trying to one-up the other.

In the end, Jake Paul settled and said, “I legitimately would pay… with the current money I have now, I would pay $12 million.” This prompted his older brother to suggest, “Let’s go halfsies on it.” While it’s plausible the conversation was mere banter between the brothers, Jake Paul feels divine intervention saved Trump. 

Jake Paul suggests there could have been a civil war

Jake Paul has previously revealed he would vote for Trump in the upcoming November elections while highlighting inflation, price rise, minimum wage, mortgages, jobs, and the health of citizens. So, when his brother probed him about his thoughts on the assassination attempt during the same podcast, Jake Paul cried foul about what could have happened if things had gone south.

The 27-year-old stated, “Yeah, I mean first and foremost, It’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen and probably will ever see. I think there would have been a civil war something would have hit him. But I think that’s like the divine intervention for sure. I believe that God stepped in and saved him.” Interestingly, some analysis suggest that had Trump not turned his head at the last second, the bullet would have hit him in the head.

It seems like Donald Trump can easily get $12 million richer in case he decides to sell the hat to the Paul brothers. But it’s more likely Trump will hold on to it to further campaign for the upcoming elections. Would you pay that much money for Trump’s hat?
