Suddenly, several shots sent panic among the attendees while one shot pierced Trump’s right ear. Soon, the Secret Service agents surrounded the presidential candidate in a bid to stop further damage. Trump was led to his car, but before that, he pumped his fist in the air as a show of defiance. The shooter was later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who has been neutralized by the Secret Service, but his motives are yet to be known.

The shooting took place from a building 120-150 meters away, with one attendee losing their life while two others were critically injured during the incident at Butler Farm Show in Butler City. Trump is reportedly doing better since the attack and has reached his residence in New Jersey. The incident has taken over the media in the country as people are recovering from the horrifying incident.

Soon after the horrific assassination attempt, Sabrina Cardone hopped on Instagram to address the situation, as she wrote, “My best wishes are going out to Trump and his family”. She further added, “To anyone who thinks this is acceptable behavior because you don’t believe in the same things as someone else, you are a terrible person”.

The next day, Milan Tyson took notice of the story, just to respond with her own Instagram story agreeing with Cardone’s message. “Couldn’t be better said Sabrina even if you don’t agree politically doesn’t mean it’s okay to try to assassinate a man in front of his family!!!!” She also wrote, “It’s sick, please get in touch with god if you think this is ok”.

Disturbed about the entire ordeal, Milan added that she is hoping the people injured during the shooting recover soon while praying for the family who lost a family member on Saturday. In the meantime, the former first lady has also shared her official statement on her husband’s failed assassination attempt.

Melania Trump brands the shooter a monster

In a statement shared on X today, Melania Trump wrote, “A monster who recognised my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion, his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration”. She urged fellow Americans to set aside their political differences and look at their leaders as human beings with families of their own.

Grateful to the Secret Service agents who protected Trump during the shooting, the former first lady wrote, “When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realised my life and Barron’s life were on the brink of devastating change.
