Ahead of his September 17th bout with Kazakhstan boxer Gennady Golovkin, Canelo Alvarez reiterated his desire to fight Oleksandr Usyk. In the month of May, as he prepared for Dmitry Bivol, Alvarez first voiced his willingness to test his skills against the two -weight-category world champion.

Recently, Usyk fought and defeated Anthony Joshua for the second time. While Tyson Fury stays retired and Usyk continues to dominate heavyweight boxing, how does a fight between the super middleweight champion Alvarez and the unbeaten Usyk seem? Former opponent Dmitry Bivol shares his thoughts on the matter.
Only three months ago, Alvarez lost to Bivol in a light heavyweight fight. The Russian pugilist vividly outclassed the Mexican and won by a UD. So, what does Bivol now think of Alvarez jumping up the weight classes and taking on Usyk?

Bivol replied by saying, “Canelo-Usyk? I think a better fight ‘Canelo-Joshua‘. It will be better, much more.”
Why does Canelo Alvarez want to fight Oleksandr Usyk?
Alvarez, according to him, never ran away from challenges on his path. The Mexican Phenom, indeed, took on some of the biggest names. In the same manner, Alvarez, who prefers tests, addressed his desires by saying, “I like it. “… Why not? … I’ll fight everyone. I don’t f—ing care.”

Even after the loss against Bivol, Alvarez does not care. He seems stern and motivated to fight Oleksandr Usyk. He expressed himself by saying, “It’s difficult, but I don’t care. I like that kind of challenge. It’s gonna be difficult, I know, but I love boxing. I love being in that kind of situation.”
