While Dmitry Bivol is on the precipice of the biggest night of his boxing career, his ex-wife, Ekaterina, has taken all the credit for promoting his bout against Artur Beterbiev. The duo will meet in the center of the ring tonight at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with their titles on the line to decide who will go home with the undisputed status.

However, Bivol’s ex seems to think all the attention the fight is getting is solely because of her. The thing is—in one of her social media posts recently, Ekaterina revealed she is siding with Bivol’s opponent in the upcoming fight, going as far as to reveal injuries the undefeated Russian has suffered over his career.

“I want to tell you everything I know: he has a stress fracture of a vertebra in his back, all his hands have been operated on and not just once, one elbow for sure, very sore knees, his left ear is constantly swelling,” Ekaterina noted. She also claimed that Bivol sometimes can’t see well, adding, “But the main thing is that he is a coward! We need your victory, Artur.”

While it’s unclear whether Artur Beterbiev’s camp would heed the advice from Dmitry Bivol’s ex-wife, she has hopped on Instagram once again to criticize Bivol even further. She wrote, “I got a good PR for this fight. Dima’s personality was not revealed. With all his huge achievements, he’s an unpopular person.”

She claimed Bivol has always had this issue, “he never could go beyond the sports,” adding while Bivol is popular, it’s largely limited to the boxing world. Ekaterina believes because of her involvement, “interest in fighting grows even more!” She concluded her thoughts by stating, “I do not back down on my words. I am for Artur.”

However, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the things Ekaterina has said on social media about her ex-husband.

Ekaterina alleges Dmitry Bivol has secret bank accounts

Dmitry Bivol and his ex-wife, Ekaterina, were married for a decade, having tied the knot in 2013 before separating late last year. In a series of Instagram posts, she accused Bivol of physical abuse, and even claimed that her mother-in-law nearly killed her.

Recently, Ekaterina also criticized Bivol for what she described as inadequate child support, claiming he only provides $1,100 per month for their two children after winning their custody. She had even accused Bivol of hiding secret bank accounts in foreign countries. Bivol has yet to publicly address these accusations, but his ex-wife’s claims have continued to make headlines in the lead-up to his fight tonight.

The Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol fight had been an exciting prospect long before Bivol’s ex-wife came into the picture. However, it’s undeniable Ekaterina has had a drastic effect on Bivol’s image among the fans. What do you think of Ekaterina’s attacks on the Russian boxer?
