For some boxing enthusiasts, Floyd Mayweather is the greatest there ever was. However, for others, his shenanigans online are too much to handle. Today, ‘Money’ Mayweather found himself in a similar predicament after a clip of his training technique surfaced online! The update comes days after his much-talked-about rematch with Manny Pacquiao unveiled its fate.

After weeks of speculation, Pacquiao’s former trainer, Freddie Roach, revealed the fight is unlikely to happen. Roach claimed, true to the revered boxer’s nickname, that Mayweather wanted all the money from the fight. What’s more, his hunger for money was on full display in the latest training clip, where dollar bills rained down from the ceiling, leaving fans at odds with the undefeated boxer.

Does Floyd Mayweather have money in his heavy bag?

Turning to X (formerly Twitter), Boxing Kingdom shared the clip in question with a caption that read, “Floyd Mayweather’s house is full of money. It’s even in the heavy bag.” Meanwhile, the clip showed Mayweather standing in the middle of the room, surrounded by several bodyguards and a heavy bag in front of him. Equipped with a pair of boxing gloves, Mayweather states, “Let’s pick it up!”

As he starts punching the bag taller than him, money starts falling from the ceiling! With each punch, the intensity and the amount of cash multiply as the surrounding people behold in wonder. However, unlike the people around Mayweather, his fans online weren’t going to sit idle and watch this ostentatious display of wealth. So, they took to the comment section to describe their thoughts.

A fan can’t help but cringe watching Mayweather

Mayweather’s usual posts on social media generally garner him a lot of admiration, but this time, things were a little bit different. Netizens became critical of the retired legend – seeing the absurdity of the clip. One user simply shared a gif depicting his thoughts about Mayweather’s clip, implying the user could not handle “cringe.” Perhaps it got negative responses because Boxing Kingdom shared the clip, exposing it to the wider public.

Another user pointed out that Mayweather needs more than ten bodyguards in his home, implying his boxing skills are useless. It’s worth mentioning that bodyguards often prevent any altercation that may involve their clients.

Someone else was left disgusted with the ostentatious display of wealth, claiming Floyd was a “loser.”

The next user claimed that they respected Floyd and his achievements but highlighted only a certain type of people need money raining on them.

One user suggested everyone knows Floyd is rich, so the user didn’t understand why he continues to flaunt money on social media.

Floyd’s usual style of flaunting his wealth seemed to have rubbed people the wrong way, as the fans described their disapproval of the post. Do you think the clip was in bad taste? Or do you think people are overreacting?
