Frank Martin knows firsthand how dangerous Gervonta Davis is. After suffering an eighth-round stoppage loss to Tank last June, Martin isn’t giving Lamont Roach Jr. much of a shot this Saturday night at the Barclays Center. “Tank’s gonna whoop him,” Martin told ESNEWS.

Roach, the reigning WBA super featherweight champion, is moving up in weight, fresh off a stoppage victory over Feargal McCrory. However, Martin remains unimpressed, seeing Roach as nothing more than a minor obstacle for Davis.

“Roach is a decent fighter,” Martin admitted. “But Tank gonna dog him.” While fans are eager to see Davis in matchups against the likes of Shakur Stevenson and Vasyl Lomachenko, Roach is determined to derail those plans.
