Right after Gervonta Davis fought and won against ‘Rolly’, a talk concerning a fight with Ryan Garcia became almost prevalent in the sport. Garcia has openly acknowledged his desire to face Davis, and the latter has not entirely flown the idea of fighting Garcia into thin air. Although Davis is highly adamant about leaving the 135lbs weight class where he ranks at no. 3, Garcia, keeping his own advantages in mind, insists the fight takes place in 140lbs, in the junior welterweight.

Garcia’s last victory was against Javier Fortuna on July 16th, this year. Initially, the fight was supposed to happen on July 9th, 2021. However, because of certain “mental health” issues, ‘The Flash’ withdrew from the fight. Recently, the duo, Garcia and Davis bantered on Twitter and took it out in public.

Probably, in not so a mature and wise move to create hype about their upcoming fight (which is still a concept), Davis took a shot at Garcia’s mental health, and Garcia consequently promised the former “power of the TRUTH.”

TalkSport correspondent Michael Benson tweeted the banter from his personal account. He had it captioned as, “Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia exchanging words on social media today…”

At this, the following is how Garcia replied, “Being honest about mental health is strength. Educate yourself and don’t bring that hate to our beautiful sport. Now go tell your team to make our fight so you can see, feel the power of the TRUTH”.
