Regardless, close to twenty-one months after Kitchie’s passing, Mayweather hopped on social media today to celebrate his late assistant’s birthday while penning a special message for her.

“Happy heavenly birthday. You will always be missed,” Mayweather wrote on his Instagram story while sharing a picture of them posing together for the camera. Though the exact cause of her death isn’t revealed and Mayweather also refrained from sharing that information, Kitchie’s family shared a statement on her death last year.

Floyd Mayweather considered Kitchie the sister he never had

Back in February this year, Mayweather opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his longtime assistant, Kitchie, describing her as the sister he never had and his closest confidante. In an emotional interview on The Pivot Podcast, Mayweather revealed the depth of their bond, saying, “Kitchie was the only person in [my] life that I could talk about anything to, that knew my deepest secrets.”

Kitchie was more than an assistant—she was his best friend and a constant source of positivity. “She taught me a lot, she helped me a lot. Through rain, sleet, snow, or hail, she had my back,” Mayweather shared, reflecting on her unwavering support. Her sudden passing last March devastated the undefeated boxing legend, who lamented, “We argue, we debate, we help each other … that’s a sister I never had. A best friend I ever had.”

That said, it appears even though Kitchie isn’t among us anymore, Floyd Mayweather continues to remember his best friend and closest confidant because of the fondest memories they created together. What do you think about their relationship?
