In an interview, she was asked, “People compare you with Angelina Jolie. Do you like it or not? 

To which she answered, “I cannot say I don’t like it. People measure beauty by Angelina Jolie, I guess no one will oppose if you are compared with the most beautiful world actress. Nevertheless, as I always say, I’m Zarina Tsoloyeva, I’m a sportsman and I have my individual beauty. And Angelina Jolie is a completely different person.”

Boxing career of Zarina Tsoloyeva

When asked about how she entered boxing, she said, “I left volleyball. In our village, we had a limited number of physical activities. Volleyball is a team game that requires team spirit. In boxing, we train in a team, but in the ring, you’re alone and maximum with your trainer, there you box around.”  

She further added, “That was my decision because I want to take responsibility for myself. But nevertheless, I became the volleyball champion of the country. Yes, I remember it quite well, that was my first win. I was the youngest in the team, the last final score was on my account. I put a block, the whole team burst with emotion.”

The boxer’s family was skeptical about this career. Her father had asked her to learn the sport, and then abandon it. But, she became successful and won medals. In addition, when she got paid, that was a good impetus for her to continue boxing.

The boxer also showed interest in fighting Katie Taylor and Teresa Shields. She also mentioned that she didn’t have a life like other people, like going to a school or university. She trained in boxing for ten years. This is one of the reasons that the pugilist has left boxing and desires to spend time with her family. 

As per ‘New York Post’, her coach Alexander Vistoskiy remembers his first meeting with the talented athlete. 

“I asked her to do a couple of hits. Immediately I realized that she is an incredible talent. In five minutes, she learned as much as most people would learn in a year.”
