Evander Holyfield thinks Tyson Fury wasn’t in the greatest shape

Recently, a reporter from ES News caught up with Evader Holyfield, enquiring about his thoughts on Ngannou’s performance against Fury. With confidence and excitement in his voice, Holyfield expressed his astonishment with Ngannou’s performance. “I don’t think nobody could box one time and box that good,” said Holyfield. He even spoke about Ngannou’s ring IQ and ability to adapt in the ring.

He stated, “To go left-handed and right-handed…” However, Holyfield speculated that Fury might not have been in his best form. “Maybe Tyson Fury’s power wasn’t in the greatest shape,” said Holyfield. Further justifying his assertion about Fury’s power, Holyfield pointed towards Fury’s clash with hard-hitting Deontay Wilder. “Even when Deontay knocked him down. He got off the ground and still won that round,” said Holyfield.

Francis Ngannou expressed his frustration about the split decision win for Fury

Since the conclusion of the fight, there has been a growing consensus that the split decision win for Fury was a complete robbery. As far as Ngannou is concerned, his thoughts aren’t far from the same. While appearing in a podcast with I AM ATHLETE, Francis Ngannou expressed his frustration with the judges and the result.

Ngannou expressed reservations about the ethical nature of the decision, reaffirmed as he observed one of the calls from the judges. “When I saw one of those calls, there’s nothing noble here,” said Ngannou. He went on to echo the same sentiment as the wider public, claiming the decision was a robbery. “This is like f**king robbery. You’re not even ashamed of it,” said Ngannou.
