Mike Tyson is one of the biggest names in boxing, and his opinions hold significant weight for anything related to the ring. Recently, Tyson sent a warning to Canelo Alvarez before his upcoming bout against Jermell Charlo. The pair is supposed to face off against each other this weekend, on 30 September, at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Leading up to the fight, Canelo was the crowd’s favorite, but the tides seem to be turning in Charlo’s favor.

Initially, fans rallied behind Canelo because of his extensive experience fighting against the biggest names in boxing. However, there has been a shift in public opinion because of Charlo’s performance in his recent fights. Meanwhile, Canelo faced his second career loss against Dmitry Bivol, bringing his performance into question. Seemingly, Mike Tyson shares the same sentiment as he warned Canelo about Charlo while appearing in Francis Ngannou’s media workout.

Exciting prediction from ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson

In an interview with Fight Hype, Tyson was asked about whether he would attend the much-anticipated bout between Charlo and Canelo. With great excitement, Mike responded, “That would be a good idea. I think it would be a very exciting fight.” However, Mike followed to also give a stern warning to Canelo Alvarez. “Charlo is coming to fight,” Mike told Fight Hype.

With the statement from Mike, it’s quite clear that he believes Charlo will make a tough opponent. It’s also worth noting that Mike had previously accurately predicted the result of Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr., per a report from InsideSport. Mike was not sure who would win the fight but predicted it would not go the distance and would end with a knockout.

According to a report from Boxing Scene, the winner of the bout on Saturday night would receive the Puebla belt.
