As they both pursued the idea of fighting against each other, the blame has been shifted onto the Dubai-based influencer-turned-fighter for the collapse. Reportedly, Albaher asked for an unrealistic amount of money for the bout to take place. To be specific, he supposedly asked for $200k, which certain fans are deeming as extravagant. As the fight fell flat, there were critics who also took to social media to express their disappointment over the collapse.
Slim Albaher faces the wrath of boxing fans
As boxing enthusiasts came heavily at Albaher for being the reason behind the collapse of the bout, KSI also joined the internet showdown. The Misfits Boxing CEO took to X expressing his disappointment as he confirmed the collapse of the fight. He said, “Slim has officially ducked Salt Papi lmao. What a b***h. He even asked to fight him at 165, Salt Papi said sure. Now Slim has gone missing. Pathetic.”
Slim then took to Twitter to take a sly dig at his critics who blamed him for prioritizing money over the sport of boxing. In a video wherein he can be seen throwing punches on a heavy bag, he said, “If the price is right we in there on fight night.”
The internet was not happy with his remarks.
DJ MurkCity claimed that Slim did not understand the way boxing fights take place. The user further stated that if Slim would not take the fight, there are plenty of opponents who would also rise to the occasion.
