Ryan Garcia has drummed up quite a storm for his upcoming fight against Devin Haney! Intentionally or not, Garcia’s mental breakdown on social media in the past few weeks has got people talking. However, it might just have backfired on the Victorville native, as recent reports reveal the April 20 fight hasn’t sold out all the tickets.

The thing is – the Garcia vs. Haney fight is in close proximity to Canelo Alvarez vs. Jaime Munguia’s May 4 Cinco De Mayo weekend fight. Plus, Garcia’s fight is being held in Brooklyn, New York. If that wasn’t enough, Garcia’s mental health concerns have put people in doubt whether the fight would even happen.

Whether it’s nearly breaking out in an all-out brawl during the NFL Radio Row or taking personal and derogatory jabs at each other on social media, Garcia has left no stone unturned to promote his fight. Despite that, as people learned about the lackluster ticket sales, they came up with a variety of reasons why the seats remained unsold.

Fan fails to highlight the best ticket ever

Garcia’s return to the ring against lifelong rival Devin Haney was expected to sell tickets like no other, but fans were quick to highlight that wasn’t true. Ray Jackson shared the information about the ticket sales on X along with a screenshot of the sold and unsold tickets.

One user asserted that the prices for the tickets were way too high at one point while asking whether they had dropped yet. The user quickly got an answer from Jackson himself, who claimed they had.

Another user shared a picture of Amazon Prime’s Fire TV Stick, claiming the best seats are at their home. However, it’s worth noting that the Garcia vs. Haney fight isn’t being streamed on Amazon Prime. Rather, the fight would be live on DAZN’s app and website. The user seems to have mixed Garcia and Haney’s fight with Tim Tszyu vs. Sebastian Fundora on March 30.

Someone else highlighted that Garcia’s fight is way too close to Canelo’s fight, claiming people don’t have enough money to buy tickets for both. In addition, the user suggested Garcia’s actions on social media have evoked doubts about him fighting Haney.

Meanwhile, the next user roped in Bill Haney, questioning him about how to boost the sales for the upcoming fight.

One user blamed the location of the fight for the low ticket sales, suggesting no one wants to go to New York to watch the fight. It’s worth mentioning that even Garcia wanted to postpone the fight so they could arrange it in Las Vegas.

With barely a month left in their eventual clash, fans tried to justify the low ticket sales for the Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia fight. It would be interesting to see whether these numbers push the fighters to postpone the fight. Do you think the fight will sell more tickets? Or Canelo’s fight will attract all the eyes?
