Few would dare to prank the legendary heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, but Milan Tyson is clearly one of those few. The 16-year-old tennis-obsessed daughter of Tyson has roped him into a viral TikTok trend, leaving him momentarily red-faced. Here’s how it went down.

Milan posted a video on her Instagram story featuring herself and her father participating in the viral “Just Give Me My Money” trend. The social media trend involves gathering family members or friends in a huddle and having them each shout “Just give me my money” in turn while the rest of the group claps. The twist, however, is that when it’s the turn of the person being pranked—in this case, Tyson—no one claps, leaving them feeling awkward and embarrassed.

In Milan’s clip, Mike Tyson played out this very prank, and true to form, the clapping stopped when it was his turn. Despite the public embarrassment, Mike Tyson took it in stride. Milan later expressed her regret and affection with a heartfelt apology on social media: “@miketyson I am sorry but I love you though.”

Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. back in November 2020 in an exhibition bout, which saw the fight end with a split decision draw. However, many felt Tyson had done enough to win the bout. Regardless, this wasn’t the first time Milan Tyson and Mike Tyson have made headlines for heartfelt interactions that often delight their fans.

The time when Milan Tyson got mad at her father Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson’s daughter wasn’t too happy with him after he said Naomi Osaka might be the best tennis player right now over Serena Williams. On his Hotboxin YouTube channel in December 2022, Tyson was chatting with rapper Cordae—who’s dating Osaka—and mentioned his daughter’s reaction when he sided with Osaka after one of her wins over Serena Williams. He joked, “I can’t believe my daughter should be mad at me for being with the most beautiful and best player in the world.”

Even though Serena Williams, with her 23 Grand Slam titles, is still a huge name in tennis, she’s been out of the game recently due to retirement. Meanwhile, Osaka is making a comeback after having her baby girl, Shai, last July. Tyson’s comments have stirred up a lot of debate, showing just how fiercely loyal tennis fans, including his own daughter, are to their favorite players.

Having said that, even though Mike Tyson may have felt a little embarrassed, fans got a glimpse into the personal lives of their favorite celebrity, all thanks to Milan Tyson. What do you think about the “Just give me my money” challenge?
