Former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney seems to have picked up a beef with Philadelphia’s Blair Cobbs. After a recent sparring clip of Haney and Cobbs surfaced on the internet, the latter has gone on a trash-talking frenzy. In his most recent jab at the ‘The Dream,’ Cobbs asked his followers an interesting question, roping in Claressa Shields.

The sparring footage in question showed Cobbs, at times, dominating Haney with some big shots. This was followed by Cobbs calling out Haney for being a coward after he sued Ryan Garcia in connection to his loss in April. While Haney’s loss was overturned into a no-contest, Cobbs felt Haney could have responded better.

Claressa Shields caught in the crossfire

“Since you wanted to act the way you were, I didn’t start acting like a coward after a loss. I bounced back. You think you could handle someone like me? You remember that a** whooping, right,” Cobbs said referencing their sparring session. “Come and get it, and I’ll take those pillow hands, and stuff it up your a** and show you what it really is, a coward. Do something about it.”

Cobbs is coming off a unanimous decision victory over former world champion Adrien Broner earlier this year. Meanwhile, Haney has sued Garcia for damages for battery, fraud, and breach of contract because Garcia tested positive for a PED during their fight. Regardless, Cobbs seems to have taken his beef with Haney a step further in his latest post on X.

Cobbs asked his followers, “Who hits harder,” Haney or Claressa Shields? In the comments of the post, Blair ‘The Flair’ Cobbs added, “🧐me personally, I got the GWOAT on this one.” This post to troll ‘The Dream’ quickly started drawing responses from the boxing world, who swiftly chose Shields over Haney.

Devin Haney gets clowned by fans

Devin Haney’s reputation has taken a massive hit since he fought Ryan Garcia—especially because he decided to sue the Victorville native. One user didn’t waste time sharing his thoughts on who hits harder. “Clarissa by KO in 5rds,” the user commented as if Haney and Shields were really about to fight. Interestingly, Haney boasts a 48.39% KO ratio compared to Shields’ 20% KO ratio—so the reality might be a little different.

Another user had a similar prediction. The user remarked, “Shields would stop Haney.” Notably, after Garcia tested positive for ostarine, Shields supported Haney and also got into a social media exchange with Garcia because of it.

The next user felt the same way about who hits harder. “Clarissa no doubt 💪,” the user commented. As of the time of writing, Claressa Shields has not responded to Blair’s post.

Meanwhile, this user decided to troll Haney by writing, “Who has the better lawyer?” The user is referring to Haney suing Garcia following their fight.

Someone else felt pity for Devin Haney and wrote to Blair, “😂 you wrong for this!” However, ‘The Flair’ is known for his brash, trash-talking persona, so more fiery posts from the Philadelphia native are likely on the way.

It appears Devin Haney continues to get handed the wrong end of public favor. Meanwhile, it’s unclear whether Blair Cobbs and Haney will end up fighting, but if they do, it will be Haney’s return to the ring since his fight against Garcia. Regardless, who do you think hits harder?
