Former interim WBC lightweight champion Ryan Garcia took a sigh of relief on Tuesday when his lawyer Michael A. Goldstein helped him evade a vandalism charge. This comes amid a lawsuit from Devin Haney, where ‘The Dream’ is seeking damages for battery, fraud, and breach of contract for their fight in April this year. However, that’s not the only case against him.

Back in June, ‘King Ry’ got into a scuffle with Caleb Plant during the Gervonta Davis vs. Frank Martin fight. It followed a social media exchange, where Garcia had insulted Plant’s wife Jordan, which resulted in Jordan filing a lawsuit against him. However, that’s not the end of Garcia’s legal troubles either.

Even Logan Paul had filed a lawsuit against the Victorville native for defamation after ‘The Flash’ claimed Paul’s energy drink Prime Hydration was unhealthy, bad for kids, and anyone who drinks it is “working for Satan.” This brings us to Garcia’s fourth lawsuit, which, thanks to Goldstein, is one less lawsuit Garcia now needs to worry about. However, the question remains, where did he pick up a vandalism charge?

Turning the clock back to June, Garcia was involved in an incident at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. According to reports, the Victorville-born puncher caused an estimated $15,000 in damages at the posh property. This had gotten him into legal trouble, but now that charge has been dropped.

Garcia reimbursed the Waldorf Astoria approximately $15,000, and the hotel didn’t want to pursue the case further. So, earlier today, ‘King Ry’ hopped on Instagram to announce the good news to his followers, writing, “Case dismissed @ladefenselawyer. Best lawyer in the game.” Meanwhile, Goldstein has shared more insights into the case.

Lawyer reveals what caused Ryan Garcia to cause damages to the hotel

According to a report from acclaimed journalist Mike Coppinger of ESPN, Goldstein told him, “As stated back in July, we expected a favorable resolution of this matter and always viewed this through the lens of a civil case.” Garcia’s lawyer also revealed what had caused the incident in the first place, which landed Garcia in legal issues.

“This incident occurred a day after Mr. Garcia learned of his mother’s significant health issues and was under a tremendous amount of stress,” Goldstein said. He further expressed his appreciation to the Beverly Hills Police Department, the Waldorf Astoria, and the court for granting their motion to dismiss charges.

That being said, while Ryan Garcia has managed to dodge any major repercussions in this case, he has three more cases against him to deal with. Only time will tell what Garcia will do against those. What do you think of all the lawsuits against Garcia?
