Canelo Alvarez gets his own state in his hometown

The statue was unveiled by Alvarez in his hometown of Guadalajara. Moreover, the whole city was present to witness the unveiling by their hometown hero, who has given them hope and will. Despite coming from humble beginnings, Alvarez has managed to become not only a great boxer but also a great role model. This was seen after the video showing people hailing him during the unveiling with murals of the champ also seen along with the statue.
