During an interview with Matchroom, Hearn announced that the fight was off from their side claiming Fury’s promoter, George Warren, hasn’t responded to them as yet. “I’ve not heard from George Warren since Wednesday. So as far as we’re concerned, the fight is off,” Hearn said.

The saga between the two heavyweights began, after Fury took to social media several weeks ago and offered Joshua the chance to become a heavyweight champion. This came after AJ’s devastating loss to Oleksandr Usyk, for the second time in September. However, the fans were not happy with this as they called out Hearn for affecting Joshua’s career in a negative way.

Fans sound off on Eddie Hearn

One fan stated that the whole thing resembled a circus by saying, “It’s a circus….not sure who’s the biggest clown out of them all.” Another fan even called for boycotting Hearn. He stated that this was all about making sure Hearn, and DAZN, were paid well and urged people to stop watching his fights. “It’s all about Eddie and Dazn here it’s shocking people should stop watching his fights. Boycott Eddie,” he commented. Moreover, a fan made a bold claim by saying that Hearn was ‘destroying’ Joshua’s career. He stated, “Hearn is destroying Joshua’s future he doesn’t want him to flourish in his career.”

Last week, Fury gave Joshua one final chance to sign the contract for the fight on social media. However, it looks like the fight won’t be happening as fans feel that Hearn isn’t willing to book this super fight for Joshua.
