After dominating Eimantas Stanionis, Jaron Ennis realized it was time to make some changes. While it might not have appeared, the struggle with weight had been getting real for him with each fight. This prompted ‘Boots’ to jump up a weight class, and straight to super welterweight. In his debut in the division, the Philadelphia native is set to face Angola’s Uisma Lima.

Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis vs. Uisma Lima undercard

Most people don’t even show up early enough to watch the entire undercard, but that would be a mistake in this one. Thanks to Matchroom Boxing, the event has a stacked undercard. In case you needed some recommendations, look out for Zaquin Moses, WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson‘s cousin.

Moses is set to face Baltimore’s Antonio Dunton El Jr. in a 6-round bout. Not to forget, undefeated Alexis Barriere, squaring off against Guido Vianello in the co-main event. The heavyweight fight should bring plenty of firepower before Ennis and Lima take over the action on Saturday night.

  • Jaron Ennis vs Uisma Lima (Super welterweight/no titles on the line)
  • Alexis Barriere vs Guido Vianello (Heavyweight/WBC Continental – vacant)
  • Tahmir Smalls vs Jose Roman (Welterweight/ no titles on the line)
  • Zaquin Moses vs Antonio Dunton El Jr. (Super featherweight/ no titles on the line)
  • Giorgio Visioli vs James Wilkins (Super featherweight/ no titles on the line)
  • Harley Mederos vs Kevin Taylor Mangune (Super lightweight/ no titles on the line)
  • Dennis Thompson vs Sean Diaz (Super bantamweight/ no titles on the line)
  • Justin Palmieri vs Naheem Parker (Lightweight/ no titles on the line)

That looks like a night to remember, especially for the Philadelphia native. A dominant start can give him a boost in his run in the super welterweight division. What do you think about the card? Would you tune in?
