It’s the day of fathers all across the globe, and Jordan Plant has taken this opportunity to wish the former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant—A Happy Father’s Day! The celebrations come right after a heated altercation between Plant and Ryan Garcia during last weekend’s fight between Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin. Before Davis broke Martin in the ring, Plant broke something else.

As Garcia arrived at the venue, a heated X battle simultaneously started between them, and out of nowhere, Plant appeared and threw a bottle of beer on Garcia, which prompted Garcia to launch a social media offensive on ‘Sweethands’ Plant. However, Plant and Jordan didn’t let that affect their day as they hopped on X to share a few words with the world.

A bittersweet day for Caleb Plant

Yesterday, Jordan hopped on X to write, “Happy Father’s Day to the greatest daddy ever! We love you Caleb! You’re the best protector, provider and leader for our family that we could ever ask for. Thank you for everything. We hope you feel the extra love today”. While it’s a day for Plant and his beautiful family to celebrate the joy of fatherhood, it’s also a day that must remind him of the tragedy that shook the boxing world.

On January 29, 2015, Alia Jean Plant, Plant’s daughter, passed away after battling an unknown disease for nineteen months. The condition caused Jean to have over 150 seizures a day—every day and stuck to her throughout her life, affecting daily life. Despite numerous efforts from her parents, the cause was never determined, but Plant continues to pay tribute to his beautiful late daughter on her anniversaries.

In the meantime, Ryan Garcia hasn’t stopped his tirade of insulting and derogatory comments about Caleb Plant!

Ryan Garcia ropes in Jordan Plant

Following their altercation during the Davis-Martin fight, Ryan Garcia had written some derogatory tweets about Plant and his wife and, by the looks of things, he is not planning to stop! Earlier today, Garcia hopped on X to highlight Plant’s devastating loss to Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez, as he blatantly ropes in Plant’s wife.

In his tweet, Garcia disrespectfully claimed he had intimate relations with Plant’s wife, Jordan, adding, “And he still throw beer bottles and writing sad tweets no one cares about you”. This isn’t the first time Garcia has attacked a boxer’s family members — previously, he engaged in a war of words with George Kambosos Jr, exhibiting similar behavior.

With that said, Caleb Plant and Jordan Plant have decided to ignore the negativity from Ryan Garcia to celebrate the day that celebrates Plant’s fatherhood and the special bond he had with his daughter. Did you wish your father on Father’s day?
