What did Oscar De La Hoya come up with this time?

Oscar’s ‘Clap-Back’ clips have likely made their way onto your feed by now—and while they’re already a hit, his latest idea has fans even more thrilled. In a couple of new videos, Oscar appears dressed as his alter-egos with exaggerated and fake large teeth, asking followers to suggest names for these quirky characters. But here’s where it gets exciting: Oscar announced that he’d pick one fan with the best name suggestion and reward them with four tickets to the Golden Boy card in Las Vegas. “New character unlocked! 😂 Help me name my alter ego below in the comments. Get creative! I’ll select one winner to give 4 tickets to this weekend’s @goldenboy fight in Vegas,” he teased.

Naturally, fans jumped on the opportunity, flooding the comments with their wildest ideas for the alter-egos. And while the prize is certainly a draw, the characters themselves seem to have delighted fans just as much, sparking plenty of laughs.

Floyd Mayweather roped in

Who doesn’t love a good joke? Not these fans, who came with silly quips. One user sarcastically suggested Oscar’s new characters looked like the former five-division champion Floyd Mayweather. “Almost looked like Floyd Mayweather,” the user commented. Oscar and Mayweather go way back—they not only fought each other back in the day—but they also turned into promoters after retiring.

Meanwhile, Oscar’s girlfriend, Holly Sonders joined the conversation. “Yes, he’s wearing those to bed tonight too,” Sonders wrote. Sonders and Oscar have been dating since November 2021, and are often seen online together.

Another user could not stop laughing while submitting the name for Oscar’s new character. “Bucktooth Thursday 🤣,” the user wrote. The user is referring to Oscar’s ‘Calp Back’ videos on social media.

Someone else came up with another hilarious name. “Oscar De La Hodida😂,” the user wrote. Oscar already had the nickname ‘Golden Boy,’ but this one might be a good addition.

Even the next user decided to target the exaggerated teeth. “Oscar teeth La Hoya 😂😂😂,” wrote the user. Notably, this is likely just a promotional stunt, and people may never see the two new characters again—hopefully not though.

That being said, Oscar De La Hoya never fails to entertain people. When he was fighting, it was through his skills in the ring, and now, he entertains people with his shenanigans online. What did you think of Oscar’s new characters?
