Floyd Mayweather can’t seem to shake former friend, now nemesis, 50 Cent, no matter what. The pair have been beefing ever since their public fallout in 2012. So, the story goes, when Mayweather was in prison, ‘Fiddy’ was tasked with helping Mayweather Promotions. According to him, he invested close to $2 million in the company to help keep it running. When Mayweather came out of prison, the rapper felt the 50-0 boxer owed him the money. However, Mayweather disagreed with 50 Cent’s assertion since he hadn’t explicitly asked the rapper to invest in the promotion. This started off their feud, which is well and alive to this day. And it appears, in the latest exchange between the two, 50 is haunting Mayweather because of a recent statement he made.
You see, back in October, a series of reports came out about Floyd Mayweather, suggesting he went on a shopping spree in the New York real estate market. Millions of dollars, apartments, and commercial space were involved—overall, it seemed like something the richest boxer in the world would do. He even moved his residence to New York to see it through. Fast forward a few months, Mayweather appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. “I don’t know the exact number. I own, right now, somewhere upwards of 100 buildings or more; I think 99% of my buildings are in New York City,” he admitted during the show, catching 50 Cent’s eye. Speaking on it on Instagram, the rapper clowned on the veteran boxer, noting, “Over a hundred buildings and 99% in New York. 😆LOL THATS CAP CHAMP WE SHOULD SLAP THE S**T OUT YOU. LMAO GLG🚦GreenLightGang 🎥let’s work.” In previous post he had expressed his doubts in Mayweather’s recent business investments in New York stating, “Oh sh*t wait I think Champ think he own them buildings. They beating him out of the money.” Recently, a boxing insider has added to this concern.

Zoom class, Crypto, the WBC belt, and more
Rick Glaser furthered 50 Cent’s assertion that Mayweather might be facing financial issues at the moment. “Rumors of Floyd Mayweather Jr being in financial trouble is hard to [swallow], but is deeply rooted, I’m told,” he wrote on X. This added another layer of intrigue to the ongoing feud between Mayweather and 50 Cent. Not to mention, Business Insider reported that public property records in New York City didn’t reflect any such purchases from Floyd Mayweather. The New York City Housing Partnership also denied awareness of Mayweather’s investment in New York real estate.
However, furthering this sentiment was his own latest social media post, where he was seen promoting a Thai crypto coin to his followers, ACET, created by Acme-Worawat. Through the post, Mayweather was offering a live Zoom session with himself hosted by the founder of the coin, and $100 USD to people who made swaps worth $20,000 using the coin.

Mayweather even revealed that one lucky participant would get one of “my prestigious WBC World Champion Belt” and “an exclusive private boxing session” with him. Seeing this, fans quickly started speculating that Floyd Mayweather might be facing some issues in similar lines to what 50 Cent and Rick Glaser have claimed.

While Floyd Mayweather has a legion of loyal followers, he also has critics. So, after the concerns of alleged financial issues started making the rounds on the internet, Mayweather’s latest post was viewed as a quick way to make some money by many of the netizens.
One user roped in 50 Cent right away. “I can hear 50 now, champ selling his belts 🤦🏾♂️😂,” the user commented. However, the rapper hasn’t commented on the matter yet. But it’s only a matter of time.
Another user suggested this will prompt 50 to come up with different ideas to clown Mayweather. “@50cent will come with different ideas 😂😂😂,” the user wrote. Considering the things the Grammy-winning rapper has done in the past, that is to be expected.

Someone else urged Mayweather not to sell his belt. “Do [an] exhibition with a popular streamer bro don’t sell your belt,” the user wrote. Mayweather does have a lot of them, maybe he won’t miss giving away one.
That said, it appears Mayweather’s latest post promoting a $20K deal didn’t sit well with many fans. While the reality of his financial issues remains a mere rumor at this point, 50 Cent seems to be enjoying every moment of it. What are your thoughts on Floyd Mayweather’s post?
