Three-division undisputed champion Claressa Shields has found herself at odds with MVP Promotions, owned by Jake Paul, after Paul’s business partner recently commented on a potential fight between Shields and their new signee, Alycia Baumgardner. Now, the situation seems to have gotten worse, as MMA legend Cris Cyborg has joined the conversation.
To recap what happened—Nakisa Bidarian recently appeared in an interview alongside ‘The Bomb’ Baumgardner, where he stated that if Claressa Shields wants to fight Baumgardner, it’s Shields who will need to make the weight adjustments to make the big-money fight happen. This, of course, didn’t sit well with Shields, who is used to being the A-Side in her fights and making the demands.
The 2012 & 2016 Olympics Gold medalist went ballistic as she responded to the comments made by Jake Paul’s right-hand man. “I laughed so hard seeing this,” Shields began her barrage of tweets. “I’m 5 weight division, 17x world champ, 4x Undisputed! I don’t have to go down to nowhere 🤣🤣 I [have] been making millions! And talking about 190 😆😆, you forgot I was undisputed at 154! It’s called conquering bi***es! Try it!”

In a following tweet, Shields blasted Bidarian for talking about her weight. “Weak a** Pinocchio looking mf talking bout my weight,” Shields wrote. “Like I’m not undisputed heavyweight champ at 175, and most fighters’ weights fluctuate in and out of camp.” She added that she doesn’t need Most Valuable Promotions to make millions, praising her current promoter, Salita Promotions.

While Shields’ rant on X went on for a while, her other rival, Cris Cyborg, joined the conversation. Responding to MVP’s post, Cyborg wrote, “😂 @Claressashields ate herself out of fights fans care about.” It’s worth noting that Shields and Cyborg have traded barbs online and even challenged each other to a fight, but nothing ever materialized.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Claressa Shields right to stand her ground, or is she overreacting to MVP's comments?

Regardless, Cyborg isn’t the only one to comment on the matter.

Claressa Shields goes off at Amanda Serrano
Since Shields’ outburst against Bidarian, Amanda Serrano came out to defend her promoter, stating, “Sincerely @MostVpromotions & @alyciambaum aren’t looking to disrespect anyone.” She claimed MVP is just trying to make big strides in the sport, wishing everyone else “all the best.” Serrano even emphasized that making a fight offer isn’t disrespecting Shields. Rather, they just want to be part of the biggest fights.

Shields quickly caught wind of this as she started blasting Serrano on X. “You, MVP & Alycia love throwing rocks & hiding y’all hands,” she wrote, asking their company to just leave her alone. “Your stupid a** promoter Nakisa stay tweeting saying false stuff 24/7 like I won’t expose the truth,” Shields added, criticizing Bidarian’s approach. “Tried to give you & promote you off my hardwork & name!”

That being said, it appears Claressa Shields is picking up beef with everyone who defends MV Promotions. While she hasn’t responded to Cyborg yet, that shouldn’t take long. Do you think Bidarian disrespected Shields with his comments? Or is Shields overreacting?
