In today’s fast-paced world, social media often dictates one’s behavior, and people often witness public shaming. It is heartwarming to witness icons like Joey Swoll, CEO of Gym Positivity and a fitness influencer, taking a stand against such behavior. Swoll’s bold response to cyber bullying

“To record and laugh at someone that’s working hard,” Swoll stated. Adding someone’s efforts to social media and laughing at them, especially when they are earnestly practicing and trying to perfect their craft, is simply offensive. He added, “Just so you can post it on social media and try to embarrass them.” Furthermore, he called the netizens cowards for just sitting in their cars and not improving themselves while trolling someone.

Swoll condemned the netizens by stating, “You end up embarrassing yourself.” His statement shows that mocking someone’s effort toward perfection does not make you look fine on social media. Lastly, Swoll praised the boxer, declaring, “This man is obviously a fighter.” He then highlighted the man’s discipline and how he followed his routine: he goes running and stops for shadowboxing. Later, he mentioned that the man wore a sauna suit to lose weight for a fight. Swoll emphasized the significance of treating people in the right way. Lastly, he mentioned that netizens should improve their personalities rather than mimicking people who strive to improve.

Swoll expressed his views by highlighting the impact of mocking behavior towards older adults. He added, “Making fun of an old man at the gym? Shame on you. It’s videos like this that make so many afraid to even step foot in a gym today.” He further mentioned how aging people are hesitant to start their fitness journey because of the humiliation they face from the younger generation.

“But no you would rather shoot a video to post on social media so you can make fun of him for likes and attention and I think it’s funny that you post in your bio a Bible: Joshua 19 which talks about courage and strength and that God is with you everywhere,” stated Swoll.

Swoll always stands against public shaming and cyberbullying, serving as a beacon of hope in a negatively dominated world on social media. By defending individuals often targeted on social media, Swoll emphasizes the essence of being positive and respectful towards others. His message brings a ray of positivity to the community.
