In a fitness-conscious society, plus-size women often bear the brunt of people’s mentality. There are several stories of both men and women who are body-shamed by gymgoers for their physiques. Now, Swoll presents the story of one such woman, who has a positive and inspiring story to tell.

Swoll’s latest video included a clip of a woman crying inside a car. However, she was not bullied or a victim of misconduct. Instead, she narrated the story of how someone said they were proud of her for her consistency and determination. Joey Swoll, after coming across the video, said, “I’m proud of you. Four words, take two seconds that can literally make someone’s day, their week, their month and extinguish in their lifetime the hate that can leave somebody crippled with insecurity and self-doubt.” As Swoll explains, for many that sweat it out at the gym, a small compliment can do wonders in helping them move on their journey ahead.

Then he proceeded to compliment how inspiring the video was. “This video is incredible. Thank you for sharing it Steph, it’s gonna inspire so many. This is true gym culture, this is what we need more of.” Then he further added, “Remember, don’t be the reason someone quits, be the reason they stay and succeed.”

Society can be harsh on not just adults but children as well. As a 13-year-old teen’s mother reached out to Joey Swoll, the bodybuilder sent out positive vibes to the teenager.

Swoll recently got to know about a 13-year-old girl who has a learning disability and was getting bullied by other people in her school. Reaching out to the fitness influencer, the girl’s mother told him that these bullies not only laughed at her but also called her names. Swoll sent a video consoling her and said, “I heard you’re having a tough time at school because of some bullies. Uncle Joey does not like bullies.”

The bodybuilder further added that he is always going to be with her, as would her mother. “Remember I always have your back, your mom has your back, and good people will always have your back,” Swoll emphasized.
