The New York Pro show ended with a blast with IFBB Pro bodybuilder Nick Walker, aka The Mutant, stealing the spotlight with his much-anticipated comeback. Walker may have won the NY Pro, but things were not easy for him. The presence of Detroit Pro Show winner Martin Fitzwater and the former New York Pro champion Tonio Burton was a threat to The Mutant. Now, despite having showcased improvements from his last appearance on stage, Walker still thinks he has room to improve.

Walker wrote, “We set out a goal and accomplished it” and highlighted his nature of completing everything he started. Something we are known for doing, something we continue to do something we will never stop doing,” he wrote, shedding light upon the hard work he continues to put in to improve his physique. On the other hand, having received feedback from his fans all over the globe, Walker politely accepted it. Feedback was given,  feedback will be perfected,” he wrote.

Walker overcame his weaknesses to win

The road to victory for Walker was not as smooth as one might think. Last weekend, the Mutant guest posed at the Pittsburgh Pro, and everyone from the judges to his fans criticized him for having a visibly distended gut. Walker is among the top bodybuilders in the world, and still, critics mentioned that he might even not win the NY Pro. They even suggested that Mutant fix his midsection and get more shredded to secure his spot at the Olympia stage.

Despite all the criticism, Walker defied all the odds and lifted the crown for the second time. He even wrote, “When I say I’m going to do something, I do it,” in his triumphant post. The Mutant overcame all his weaknesses within a week and gave a settling reply to his critics.
