During the 36th Arnold Classic, Arnold Schwarzenegger had breakfast with fellow bodybuilding legends Jay Cutler, Lee Haney, and Chris Bumstead. All three guests were part of the Arnold Sports Festival, and Cutler even received his Lifetime Achievement Award. Seeing his father hanging out with three fellow Olympia winners prompted Joseph Baena to ask a question.

As the Arnols Classic co-founder, Arnold Schwarzenegger brings the bodybuilding world together in Ohio every year. “Having breakfast with my friends, Jay Cutler, Chris Bumstead and Lee Haney,” Arnie wrote in his post. Although Cbum is the reigning Classic physique champion, since the four bodybuilding legends share 24 Olympia titles among them, Baena asked them to pose together.

“So when does the posedown start?” asked the 26-year-old bodybuilding enthusiast. Although The Austrian Oak’s youngest son didn’t attend the annual Arnold Sports Festival this year, the bodybuilder kept an eye on what happened at the event. The 76-year-old uploaded two photographs. In the first one, the seven-time Mr. Olympia shared the frame with five-time Classic Physique Olympia winner Chris Bumstead.

Meanwhile, four-time Olympia winner Jay Culter photobombed them. However, Cutler didn’t have to photobomb anyone in the following picture as he featured in it with Arnie and eight-time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney. Although the 26-year-old actor didn’t get his wish, the bodybuilding icons hosted panels at the Arnold Sports Festival.

Cbum and Jay Cutler were among the special guests at the Arnold Classic and hosted photo-ops with fans. The Austrian Oak presented Cutler with his Lifetime Achievement Award on day two of the Arnold Classic. So why didn’t the 76-year-old bodybuilding legend’s son attend one of the most prestigious annual bodybuilding events?

Joseph Baena’s absence at the Arnold Classic

While the Arnold Classic was underway at the Greater Convention Center in Ohio, Joseph Baena was in Los Angeles, California. On March 1, 2024, Baena uploaded an image with his Gold’s Gym buddies. Besides longtime training partner Joshua Manoi, competitive bodybuilder Sean ‘Shizzy’ Taffee and his brother are also featured in the photograph.

“Lunch with the bros,” Baena wrote in the caption. While the actor has multiple projects lined up for release this year, he has been focusing on bodybuilding. However, despite his passion for the sport, Joseph Banea doesn’t wish to compete but build the perfect Hollywood superhero physique. Baena hopes to retrace his father’s steps as a Hollywood action hero rather than a competitive bodybuilding icon.
