Arnold Schwarzenegger’s insights on “lucid dreaming”

Writing to his village, Schwarzenegger pointed out how people who struggle with insomnia, anxiety, and a loss of creativity, can alter their situation by practicing lucid dreaming. He explained how these lucid dreams enable the dreamer to have an awareness of the dream, as well as have the authority to control it. He first questioned, “What if you could also control your thoughts while you sleep?” Then Arnie revealed the nuances behind it. “The hard part is learning to lucid dream. A recent study compared different techniques and found that rehearsing the dream the day before (called mnemonic induction of lucid dreams) and then telling yourself to have the dream at night can be effective at helping you experience lucid dreams,” he penned.
