His ex-wife Maria Shriver is no less a philanthropist and follows the tough path to teaching by example, much like Arnie.

The 67-year-old is an ardent advocate of brain health and participates in the Special Olympics kick-started by her mother, Eunice Kennedy. Shriver took a break from social media by the end of July to focus on herself. Now, she is back, sharing the warm moments with her family.

Maria Shriver’s social media detox went dazzling

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver dated for several years before tying the knot in 1986. They have four children together in their 25 years of married life. However, Shriver and Schwarzenegger separated after the latter admitted to having an affair with house staff. But the former wife and husband shared a great bond of friendship and nurtured their kids with utmost care. 

Shriver posted her decision to stay away from social media on July 31st for spiritual maintenance. Now, she is back on Instagram, sharing a beautiful clip of her time with her children and family. The close-knit family celebrated Patrick Schwarzenegger’s birthday as Shriver clicked pictures with darling daughters and handsome sons.

Even her kids, Christina and Christopher, who rather stay away from the limelight, were seen with Shriver. Mama G was seen spending time with Katherine’s daughter. Shriver also included special moments with his brother. “It was the perfect reminder to slow down, not just once a year, but all the time, especially in the moments that pass too quickly,” she wrote in the caption. Schwarzenegger also stressed the importance of less screen time in his newsletter just a couple of days after Shriver took the social media break.

The 76-year-old is on a mission to spread fitness protocols to his ever-growing tribe. The bodybuilding icon’s newsletter deals with fitness with an emphasis on holistic well-being. The Austrian Oak once dealt with the impact of phones and other electronic gadgets in his newsletter edition.

Arnie noted that reduced screen time helped in elevating mental well-being. “Their mood was better, they were happier, and they felt less stressed,” he said. To the unversed, the $450 worth Governator doesn’t own a phone.
