Frank Zane shares the key to a successful workout
Frank Zane recently took to his official Instagram account @therealfrankzane and shared a throwback bare bodies picture of himself. His physique, as always, looks intensely ripped and on the top of the picture he wrote, “Find the balance”. Frank Zane stated that the primary key to being successful at the gym is finding the perfect balance.

He said, “The key to making workouts work is balance. You have to train hard enough to elicit a little soreness the next day in the body parts worked.” If the training is done with a full muscle-mind connection and with the proper instructions, no one can stop you from growing and getting stronger.

He added, “When my training is going good I feel growth and I’m getting stronger. And this makes me happy and I enjoy my workouts even more because they are working.” Realizing how going lighter brought about drastic changes in his physique, he once even explained what happens to your body when you stop training.

Frank Zane highlights the importance of training heavy
After winning the title of Mr. Olympia in 1977, Frank Zane brought about a complete change in his workout regime. Prior to the competition, he used to focus on light pumping and training, but then he changed it and went for heavier weights. This helped him gain more muscles and acquire a better aesthetic.

He said, “I find that if you train heavy, and then you lay off for a while, you hold your size longer.” He gives the entire credit for being so successful in his bodybuilding career to his routines of heavy training.
