Through wrong means, a lot of the previous champs had allegedly gained their humongous muscles however, a lot of them had come up to speak for their wrongdoings and how it badly affected their bodies. With the growing popularity of the sport, the amount of wrongly induced drugs and steroids is increasing accordingly. Quite recently, 32-year-old Jamie George had been arrested for doing one such heinous crime.

The Scottish Gym Owner, Jamie had been arrested for 37 months of Jail sentence. He confessed at the Stirling Sheriff Court about him being aware of the consequential effects of the pills he manufactured and distributed.

Gym Owner sent to Jail for manufacturing DNP

Jamie George, the Scottish bodybuilder, produced as much as 10,000 DNP every month, a highly toxic weight-loss supplement, per?a BBC news report. He confessed to continuing with his production even after he was under remedial notice for the same. He is reported to distribute his products to other continents, such as the USA, Australia, and Asia.

The effects of DNP are so intense that when FSS [Food Standards Scotland] visited George’s home, they found,?“The floor, walls, and contents of the garden shed were all heavily contaminated and stained with a yellow powder.”

The pill is mostly used to reduce body fat at an alarming rate among bodybuilders. However, in the process of doing so, it affects the body internally, causing various intricacies that cannot be fixed easily.

Why is DNP so harmful for bodybuilders?

DNP, or dinitrophenol, is nothing but a substandard industrial chemical. If someone uses it for a long time, it can cause excessive burning sensations outside of the body. From kidney failure to cardiac arrest, it has several life-threatening consequences. The DNP has also killed several people through hyperthermia, leading to several organ failures. Thus, this?steroid?is banned and declared illegal in several countries. However, bodybuilders continue to take it as a cheat pill to attain a shredded body, despite it being harmful.
