Winning the title of Mr. Olympia does not end one’s bodybuilding aspirations. Current Mr. Olympia winner Derek Lunsford makes no argument against this notion either. Weeks after winning his second Mr. Olympia title, Lunsford revealed his plans for the upcoming future. The bodybuilder also talked about how grateful he had been for his accomplishment.

It is undoubtedly difficult to win Mr. Olympia, moreover, Lunsford is the only one to have won from two different divisions, decades after the competition was established. Now, the bodybuilder declared how he truly feels about his achievement and what he plans for the future.

Derek Lunsford’s plans for the future

After @mrolympiallc posted a photo of Derek Lunsford holding the winning waistband, Derek Lunsford commented on the picture expressing his gratitude. He stated, “The Mr. Olympia title carries as much weight as the Sandow trophy (that thing is HEAVY!!)To be Mr. Olympia, making history in 2 divisions and being the People’s Champion… I’m beyond grateful.” The bodybuilder has also talked about how 2024 is right around the corner, thus hinting at his plans to improve the list of his achievements.

Lunsford also stated, “The support I’ve received from so many is truly incredible! I don’t take any of it for granted and will continue to keep elevating my standards. We aren’t slowing down.” Despite getting harassed by Hai Choopan’s fandom, the bodybuilder kept his humbleness intact throughout the debacle.

Hadi Choopan fans have made it difficult for Lunsford to carry on with his usual social media life. Yet this time, when he added a video of his strive for training and winning, another hater had left a comment that was tackled by Lunsford’s fan.

In one of his latest posts’ comments, one of the haters asked Lunsford to apologize to Hadi Choopan. However, it seemed like Lunsford fans had run out of patience. Hence, this time, one of the fans stated, “For what? Being better??”
