Arnold Schwarzenegger hopes people will read the harrowing account

The 76-year-old former governor wrote, “Please read Ella’s story.” The FUBAR star informed his 5.2 million followers that Ella is “a 14-year-old girl, who just lost her father and friends, she deserves your attention,” explained the author. On Friday, Ella Shani narrated her harrowing experience at Schwarzenegger’s Los Angeles Office.

During the event organized by the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem, the 14-year-old spoke about waking up to gunshots and explosions. While the teenager found shelter inside her home’s bomb shelter, her Whatsapp group, shared by 100 local kids, exploded with messages requesting help. After staying with her little brother and mother for hours, the IDF rescued them.

Schwarzenegger, who has worked to spread awareness against division and hate, said it’s “extremely important,” that the world hears stories of survivors like Ella Shani.
