When Derek Lunsford won the Mr. Olympia, it was a big surprise. Many fans of Hadi Choopan were upset about the final results. Everyone thought, including Hadi Choopan himself, that he would retain the coveted title and be the winner of the Olympia title for the second time in a row. But when the results were declared, he was so shocked and abruptly left the stage. It was a disappointing moment for him and his fans.

After the show ended, RXMuscle- The Truth in Bodybuilding shared a video on their YouTube channel straight from the venue. In the video, they interviewed fans and experts, asking them about their feelings after the announcement of the winners in the Open division. They titled it, “HEATED WRAPUP! DID DEREK DESERVE WIN?”

Milos defends the former champion Hadi Choopan’s reaction

During their interviews with other people, the interviewer Dave Palumbo asked the Serbian bodybuilder Milos Sarcev about Choopan’s reaction after the announcement of the new champion. “Milos, I want to ask you while you’re still here did you have a um what did you think about Hadi storming off stage after?”

The response given by Sarcev wasn’t very convincing to those who were present at that moment. Sarcev said, “Well listen, I mean he has a hearing problem maybe he just wanted to get it, get the problem, he was interrupted in the middle of the answer by the host. “He took his medal off and walked off stage,” stressed Palumbo.

Sarcev continued with his explanation and pointed out, “Yeah listen uh so was Flex wheeler uh when Ronnie Coleman won you know.” However, Milos’s response didn’t end there, he described an analytical point of view about the former Mr. Olympia.

What cost does he have to face if he leaves the sport?

The IFBB pro coach, further added to his statement, “It’s uh look when you have that mindset, you’re a champion. I mean arguably uh he could have been four times Olympia Champion now, and he got a one and he lost so he didn’t defend the title. In this kind of condition whole country is behind him. It’s a huge disappointment even though Derek is his teammate and a friend.”

The final question about him was if he was going to compete again next year.
