John Jewett uses a combination of science and experience

While science helps to understand the underlying mechanism for muscle building, it cannot assure sure shot results for everyone. Then, experience comes into play for individuals to understand ways to maximize results through trial and error. Hence, a bodybuilding career provides time to improve upon past mistakes and learn from experiences. However, the bodybuilding coach, John Jewett, is inclined to use a combination of science and experience to obtain the best results. 

He defined Evidence-based bodybuilding as “You are not just basing information and knowledge off science, and you are not just basing information off coaching people and/or experience. It is a complete combination of the two,” in his post.
