The youngest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger is the only one who shares his father’s passion for bodybuilding. After reading Schwarzenegger’s Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding, Baena got hooked on bodybuilding. Now, the youngster is replicating something integral to the Golden Era bodybuilding culture: Brotherhood.

Joseph Baena shared a reel where he posed with his bodybuilder friends. The young actor’s experience seemed to pay off as he spun the video like an intro to a show featuring Baena and his squad. However, through the video, the 36-year-old also showcased that he and the other bodybuilders are keeping Gold’s Gym community alive. It seems like the fans have also noticed the same. 

The legacy of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Golden era

Arnold Schwarzenegger once said that besides bodybuilding, it was the sense of community among the bodybuilders of Gold’s Gym that helped him find success. The Austrian Oak’s first friends in America were bodybuilders who trained with him in Gold Gym. Later, Arnie and legends like Frank Zane and Franco Columbu fostered a camaraderie like no other.

Joseph Baena and his bodybuilding buddies, Shizzylifts, Jizzylifts, and Joshuajblaize, are doing the same. While Joe Baena doesn’t compete, Joshua Manoi and Shizzylifts are competitive bodybuilders. The video started with the message “Meet the cast,” and featured an entire montage of the group training and pushing one another at Gold’s Gym.

In the caption, the 26-year-old asked, “What (are) you calling this show?” The fans treated his question just as seriously as he had crafted the video. However, even here, the influence of Arnold Schwarzenegger was immense.

The fans suggest some unique names

While the Bully High actor’s question had nothing to do with Arnold Schwarzenegger, fans immediately remembered Arnie’s iconic docu-drama, Pumping Iron (1977). “Pumping Iron: The Next Generation,” suggested one fan. “Pumping Iron 2,” suggested another. The docu-drama Pumping Iron became a cult classic after releasing in 1977 and helped Arnie make it big in Hollywood.

However, others also suggested some unique names. “Gold’s Gym: The Legacy Lives On,” wrote one fan. Despite being one of the stars of the hypothetical show, Joshua Manoi also suggested a name. “Plate Busters,” commented Manoi. “Keeping up with the pumps,” wrote another fan.
