Arnold Schwarzenegger and ex-wife Maria Shriver love giving back to those who love them. Now, even their children have joined them in their philanthropic pursuits. In their most recent social media post, Mosh Bars, founded by Patrick Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, shared some exciting news. The mother-son duo appeared on video to announce a new milestone.

In the video, Shriver and Schwarzenegger revealed that their $10 million mission-driven brand had raised $100,000 for Alzheimer’s research. They founded Mosh Bars to help raise awareness of brain health and Alzheimer’s. As Alzheimer’s Month comes to a close, the founders announced the milestone and explained how they got the money.

It was a team effort

“Giving Tuesday seemed like the perfect time to announce we’ve officially donated $100,000 to fund Alzheimer’s research,” read the caption of the video by Mosh. Srhiver and her eldest son appeared in the video with a massive $100,00 check. The founders donated the money through the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement organization. Maria Shriver founded the organization herself.

However, Shriver announced in the video that Mosh wouldn’t have reached the milestone without the help of the people who love the product. Mosh bars are protein bars with ingredients that boost brain function. Shriver announced that everyone who bought their product “enabled” them to “donate this money.” The 68-year-old thanked everyone as the donation was a team effort as their customers also contributed.

Mosh Bars has found success through its mission-driven model and message. Despite the abundance of competition in the protein bar market, the company reached $10 million in revenue. Recently, Partick Schwarzenegger announced that Mosh had plans for expansions and even secured $3 million in investment to realize that plan. It seems Arnie and Shriver’s children are carrying their parents’ legacy.

Making Arnold Schwarzenegger proud

Patrick Schwarzenegger, Joseph Baena, and Katherine Schwarzenegger are honoring their father’s legacy through their work. Baena and Patrick stood with the actors and writers during the recent SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike. Meanwhile, Katherine Schwarzenegger has grown into the role of an animal activist promoting the adoption of shelter animals.

Like their father, they have also developed a mentality of giving back at a young age. Schwarzenegger started his philanthropic journey after becoming associated with the Shrivers. Eunice Kennedy Shriver, his then-mother-in-law, asked the bodybuilding champion to help train specially-abled athletes for the Special Olympics. Today, Arnie supports over a dozen philanthropic ventures.

Mosh embarked on a mission to help spread awareness and fight the incurable Alzheimer’s disease. It seems Shriver and her son are well on their way to fulfilling that mission.
