Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds worked hard to get super fit for Deadpool 3. His amazing transformation wowed everyone in showbiz and the fitness industry. His ripped physique became the talk of the town. Reynold’s long-time trainer Don Saladino spills the beans on how to achieve a superhero physique without extreme measures.

Know your body’s composition before delving into training: Don Saladino

Saladino openly said, “The problem is that 99 percent of people don’t know what they want, so they turn around and say: ‘I want to lose 10lbs’, and I’m like ‘no you don’t, you just want to change your body composition.” While many people rely on scales to track progress, Saladino believes it’s not the only thing to focus on.

He continued and stated, “Even actors tell me they need to be heavier or lighter for a role, and I say ‘no, you just have to look a certain way’, unless they need to fit into a specific suit, of course. The point is you should be focusing on achieving body recomposition and not necessarily thinking about what the scales say.” He believes that initial weight loss might just be losing water weight, not fat. Instead, he suggests celebrating achievements like better sleep and more energy.

He advocates that resistance training is the key. That means using your own body weight, bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, and barbells to build muscles, boost your metabolism, and help with lose weight. He mentioned that you do not be scared of gaining muscle because it makes you strong and resilient.

Rest, recover, and reward for better gains

Furthermore, the celebrity fitness trainer advises against just focusing on weight when tracking progress. He also believes a good fitness plan involves not only working out, but also getting enough time to rest. Moreover, he believes in recovering well, staying hydrated, and eating balanced meals. Saladino warns against drastically cutting calories, suggesting eating enough proteins, fats, and slow-releasing carbs.
