Stefi Cohen recently took to her official Instagram account and stated that to truly strengthen your knee joint and all the surrounding tissues, it is important to train the entire range of motions. She says, “If you want to lift an insane amount, you need to have insanely strong joints.”

Cohen further added that while you might make your muscles stronger by pulling out traditional squats, the tendons and ligaments around the knee joint will not be getting the best stimulus during the exercise. Covering full reps will help in building tissue strength and reduce the risks of injury.
