On June 30, 2023, German bodybuilding icon and fitness influencer Joe Lindner, passed away unexpectedly from an aneurysm. Lindnzer often said that his fans meant everything to him. He was a successful influencer who actually responded to fans’ comments and questions and often spoke with him. They thought highly of him and he truly lived for them. So, to honor his memory, his family decided to share the details of the cremation rituals they followed.

Linder’s family took to his official Instagram account to share the cremation rituals with his fans. When Linder passed away, his mother rushed to Pattaya, Thailand, where Joe Linder had chosen to make his home. They decided to have a Buddhist Ceremony and cremate him there.

Jo Lindner’s last rites: Final farewell to the fans

His family, including his dad, mom, and sister, flew in to pay their last respects at a traditional Thai Funeral. In the presence of his closest friends and loved ones, they said their goodbyes, cried, and mourned together. His family expressed their gratitude for the support they received from Joesthetics friends in Thailand.

After the cremation and ceremony in Thailand, Joe’s family took some of his ashes “spread some of Jo’s ashes in the sea in front of his condo and took the urn with the remaining ashes back to Germany, where we had another very private Funeral Ceremony that his grandmother, who couldn’t fly to Thailand for the Funeral, could attend too.” They also organized a public memorial in their hometown, allowing his early-life friends to say their goodbyes.

But this wasn’t all. His family also announced to start of a project in honor of their son’s good deeds.

According to their Instagram post, on 14th January, which would have been Joe’s 31st birthday, his family plans to share more about this project and urge fans and followers to follow @joesthetics.forever for updates. They emphasized that, despite their grief, the love and condolences they received from fans worldwide mean a lot to them. They find comfort in knowing that he lived a meaningful life and inspired millions of people through his passion for bodybuilding. Despite the loss of their son, they decided to follow in his pursuit of never giving up.
